Live blog
A live blog provides comments by one or more editors attending an event. Comments tend to be short and include the authors' bylines. To build a live blog, you create the container, and then post comments to the container.
Live blogs can belong to a section or a package.
Live blogs allow editors to log a series of news updates about a developing topic across a given time period. The time period can be either automatic, expiring after 24 hours of inactivity, or manual, expiring after a specified date and time. Multiple editors can contribute to a live blog.
Live blogs display a content type called What You Need To Know, which displays information about what the editor has deemed overall important to the topic of the live blog. Examples include:
- A recap of a day鈥檚 events.
- A timetable of what will occur throughout the day.
- Links to other, relevant coverage.
- Links to the previous day鈥檚 coverage.
