Logo

You can use logos to configure the layout of the Global site, and also use them in logo list modules.

For a wire frame example of what this content type can look like on your site, see .

Note
Before beginning these steps, make sure you save the logo on the drive you are working from, or obtain its URL from the internet.

To add a logo:

  1. In the header, click add.
  2. From the Create list, select Logo.
  3. Using the following table as a reference, complete the fields as needed.
  4. Complete your site's workflow and publish the logo.

Logo fields

Click each tab below to see a description of the associated fields.

FieldDescription
Internal nameEnter an internal name for this asset. Brightspot uses this name internally, such as in the search panel and recent activity widget. This name is not visible to visitors to your site.
File

Do one of the following:

  • To upload a logo from your computer, select New Upload. Click Choose and navigate to the logo.
  • To link to a logo on the Internet, select New URL and paste the logo's link.

The logo must be in one of the following formats: png, jpg, tiff, bmp, gif, svg, or jpg. For the best visitor experience, use a a logo that is two or three times the rendered size. For example, if your rendered logo is 300 × 100, use a logo that is 600 × 200h or 900 × 300.

TitleEnter a title. This title is not visible to the visitors to your site.
Alt Text

Alt text appears in a blank box that would normally contain the logo if the logo does not display. The alt text defaults to the filename. You can modify the alt text if necessary.

Alt text powers front-end screen reader functionality, and is important for 508 compliance.
