Audio File

While Brightspot supports uploading any file type, the audio file content type is designed to play audio files directly in a web browser; therefore, only upload audio types that are supported by web browsers.
Certain browsers and older versions of browsers may not play certain file types. As such, Brightspot recommends verifying that a file type is supported in the Browser support section of .

Tip
Before beginning these steps, make sure you save the audio file on the drive you are working from, or obtain its URL from the internet.
To add an audio file:
- In the header, click .
- From the Create list, select Audio File.
- Using the following table as a reference, complete the fields as needed.
- Complete your site's workflow and publish the audio file.
After you save your audio file, you can use it in a podcast episode.

File | Do one of the following:

Title | Enter a title. This title is not visible to the visitors to your site. When you add the audio file to a podcast episode, the episode's title is visible. |
Internal Name | Enter an internal name for this asset. Brightspot uses this name internally, such as in the search panel and recent activity widget. This name is not visible to visitors to your site. |
Description | Enter a description. This description is not visible to visitors to your site.When you add the audio file to a podcast episode, the episode's description is visible. |
Transcribe
Field | Description |
Transcribe Settings | Select the settings for transcribing this audio. For additional information, see Amazon Transcribe. |
Field | Description |
Locale | Sets the content's locale. This setting can also be used to auto-localize content based on the users requested locale. |
