Brightspot Integrations Guide

Integrating Lingotek with Brightspot


In this procedure, you register your Lingotek account with Brightspot, and Brightspot retrieves your Lingotek configuration (such as projects, workflows, and vaults).

To integrate Lingotek with Brightspot:

  1. In your Lingotek console, do the following:
    1. Create projects and other items which you will use when translating from Brightspot. For details, see .
    2. Obtain your Lingotek community ID.
  2. In Brightspot, do the following:

    1. Click menu > Admin > Sites & Settings > Sites > Global.
    2. Click search, located to the left of more_horiz, and type Lingotek.
    3. In the Client ID field, enter 3d601bf7-5d84-42ea-b1a2-998c17cbe7c3. (Some versions of Brightspot already have this field populated.)
    4. In the Community ID field, enter the community ID from step 1.
    5. Click Save. Brightspot prompts you to add a callback URL to the Lingotek projects to which you will submit translations (such as http://example.com/translation/lingotek/success).

    6. Returning to the Community ID field, click Click here to authenticate with Lingotek.
    7. Click Save. You are prompted to log in to Lingotek if you are not already logged in.
    8. Refresh the Edit Global widget. Brightspot does the following:
      • Saves the Lingotek credentials.
      • Imports your Lingotek projects, workflows, vaults, and filterswhich are referenced below.
  3. In Lingotek, add the callback URL from step 3.e to the projects.
  4. In Brightspot, in the Sites widget, click the site for which you want to continue configuration of Lingotek.
  5. Under CMS, expand Translation.
  6. Referring to Configuring translation services, fill out the fields (other than Default Service Settings) as desired.
  7. Under Default Service Settings, click add_circle_outline Add Item, then do the following:
    1. From the list, select Create New.
    2. Give the Lingotek setting a name.
    3. From the Project, Workflow, Filter, and Vault lists, select the appropriate values that were imported from Lingotek in step 2h above.
    4. In the In Context Preview Provider, retain None or select Default.
    5. Click Save.
    6. Click Back.
  8. (Optional) For any new or existing Type Settings, under Service Settings, apply one-off settings in the same manner as you did in step 6; otherwise, Brightspot applies the default service settings.
  9. Click Save.
Note
When finished, you can send assets for translation from the asset's content edit form. For details on this process, see Sending an asset for translation.
