Embedding galleries


Galleries can be embedded directly in the text from the rich-text editor.

Embedding a shared gallery


To embed a shared gallery:
  1. Place your cursor within the text where you would like the gallery to be placed.
  2. Click image and select Gallery from the available choices.
  3. In the Items field, select Use Existing, and click search to select a shared gallery.
  4. In the Title Override field, modify the gallery's title.
  5. Expand Carousel Enhancement Styles and select your Preset. See Enhancement alignment for more information on enhancement placement.
  6. Click Save & Close.
Caution
Inserting or modifying an embedded enhancement does not automatically save the enhancement in the asset. Be sure to save or publish the asset containing this embedded enhancement.

Embedding an advanced gallery

When embedding an advanced gallery, you have two options how to select the images for the gallery. You can Upload Files or Add Image.
  • The Upload Files option allows you to select files from your computer/network drive and upload them into Brightspot for use in your gallery.
  • The Add Image option allows you to select images for your gallery that have been previously uploaded into Brightspot.


To embed an advanced gallery:

  1. Place your cursor within the text where you would like the gallery to be placed.
  2. Click image and select Gallery from the available choices.
  3. In the Title Override field, enter the gallery's title.
  4. In the Items field, select Advanced.
  5. Click file_download to upload images to the gallery, and click add_circle_outline to add images already in Brightspot.
  6. For each image, modify the title, caption, and other fields as necessary.
  7. Expand Carousel Enhancement Styles and select your Preset. See Enhancement alignment for more information on enhancement placement.
  8. Click Save & Close.
Caution
Inserting or modifying an embedded enhancement does not automatically save the enhancement in the asset. Be sure to save or publish the asset containing this embedded enhancement.

Embedding a dynamic gallery

The images in a dynamic gallery can change over time depending on the sort and filtering criteria you configure.


To embed a dynamic gallery:

  1. Place your cursor within the text where you would like the gallery to be placed.
  2. Click image and select Gallery from the available choices.
  3. In the Title Override field, enter the gallery's title.
  4. In the Items field, select Dynamic.
  5. In the Sort field, select how you want the images in your gallery to be ordered. You can select from the following:

    • Newest Publish Date—Puts the image with the most recent publication date first in the gallery.
    • Oldest Publish Date—Puts the image with the oldest publication date first in the gallery.
  6. In the Items Per Page field, enter how many images are in the gallery.
  7. In the Filtering field, select filtering criteria for this gallery. For information about the various filters, see Understanding dynamic list filters.
  8. The Pinned Items field allows you to upload or select images that are permanently pinned to the beginning of your gallery, regardless of your settings above. You have two choices: Upload Files or Add.

    1. If you selected Upload Files, you have two choices available: Choose Files or Choose A Folder.
      1. Choose Files allows you to individually select the files from within a folder to be uploaded into the gallery.
      2. Choose A Folder uploads all of the files contained within the selected folder.
      3. Complete the additional fields that are standard for any image upload for each file uploaded.
      4. Click Upload.
    2. If you selected Add, you can select one of the following:
      • Dynamic Image Result: Placeholder—One of the images satisfying the filtering criteria appears in the placeholder.
      • Image—C±ô¾±³¦°ì&²Ô²ú²õ±è;search to open the content picker and select an image existing in Brightspot.
  9. Expand Carousel Enhancement Styles and select your Preset. See Enhancement alignment for more information on enhancement placement.
  10. Click Save & Close.
Caution
